How to draw a T-Rex | Step by Step Guide

Welcome to our exciting drawing tutorial! 🎨 Today, we'll be learning how to draw a Tyrannosaurus Rex (T-Rex), perfect for kids and beginners. Whether you're here to watch a quick video or follow along with our detailed step-by-step guide, we've got you covered.

The terrific T-Rex was a seriously big beast growing up to 12m long and 6m tall.

These amazing dinosaurs were  carnivores, meaning they ate meat. And they were super smart too with a brain twice as big as those of other giant carnivores.

Step 1: The mouth and nose

Draw a C- shape for the top of the nose with a circle at the top left part for the nostril. Then coming down from that C-shape, draw sharp teeth, then draw the jaw as shown.

Step 2: The back of the head and the eye

Draw a big circle for the eye as shown with a few highlighted spots. Draw a semicircle above the eye, then draw the back of the head as shown.

Step 3: The body and tail

Extend a line from the back of the head going down then up again then make a cone shape to make the tail. From the bottom of the head draw a small line going down.

Step 4: The 2 front legs

Draw the 2 front legs as shown with 2 big fingers and nails in each.

Step 5: The 2 back legs and the belly

Draw a curved line to make the belly, and draw the 2 back legs a lot bigger than the front ones with toes and nails in each.

Step 6: Decorate

Decorate the back of the dinosaur with some triangular shapes for some texture. Draw a line coming down from the bottom of the head going all the way till the end of the tail a little above the belly line to define the belly area.
