Step 1: Face And Collar
Draw a wide egg shape for the head, then draw a few half circles connected together and to the bottom of the head to make a frill for the collar.
Step 2: Face Features
Draw 2 large circles for the eyes with a cross in each of them to show stitching of the buttons resembling the eyes. Draw a large curved line for the mouth and a zigzagged line for the top of the mouth as shown. Draw a line in the middle of the face with a few small lines intersecting it for the stitching.
Step 3: Arms And Hands
Draw 2 lines coming out from each side of the collar to make the arm, connect the end of them with a zigzag line for the end of the sleeve. Then draw another zigzag line coming out of the sleeve to make the hand.
Step 4: Body And Legs
Draw a curved line coming down from each arm to make the body. Draw 2 lines coming down from each side of the body for the legs. Connect the inner 2 lines by a curved line at the top of them for the belly.
Step 5: Shoes
Draw a zigzag line at the end of each leg to make the end of the pants legs. Then draw a shoe coming out from the bottom of each leg as shown.
Step 6: The Top Of The Dungaree
Draw 2 finger shapes coming down from the collar for the straps of the dungaree. Put a small circle in the bottom of each one for the buttons. Connect the 2 straps together with a curved line and connect the left strap to the side of the body with another smaller curved line.
Congratulations, now you can draw a scarecrow.
Now, grab the colors of your choice and start painting your drawing, I am sure it will be outstanding.
Tip: To show light reflection on any surface while coloring, leave a small line or sometimes circles without color or use an eraser to erase a few lines or spots as shown in the colored picture.
