How to draw a Dinosaur | Parasaurolophus | Step by Step Guide

Welcome to our kiddy can draw fun step by step drawing tutorial. Today we are going to draw a type of dinosaur that is called parasaurolophus.

Such a big name for our dinosaur. It is a vegetarian dinosaur that has a very stunning feature which is the crest on its head.

Scientists found out about the function of this crest after many predictions. They found out that it serves for communication allowing the animals to remain in contact over distance by amplifying their loud cries.

Now, let's grab our pencils or markers and start drawing our parasaurolophus.

Step 1: The head

Draw half an oval shape for the head. Then draw eyes, a nose and a mouth.

Step 2: The crest

From the top of the head, draw the crest, it looks like a cat's tail.

Step 3: The neck

Draw 2 curved lines coming down from the crest and the bottom of the head to make the neck.

Step 4: The back and the tail

Draw a curved line coming out from one side of the neck going up to make the hump on the dinosaur's back, then going down and up again to start making the tail.

Step 5: The belly and the leg

Draw a curved line going down from other side of the neck to make the belly, then going up again to make the first leg, curving slightly to the left to start making the other leg.

Step 6: The other leg, the tail and Decoration

Attached to the first leg, draw a letter "V" shape curved at the top to make the other leg.

Draw a curved line coming out of this leg and going up to join the tip of the tail.

Decorate the dinosaur with some stripes on its back and the crest. Add some irregular oval shapes on its belly and the head for some texture.

Congratulations, now you can draw a parasaurolophus and you might as well be able to pronounce it!!
