How To Draw a Haunted House For Halloween | Step By Step Guide

Step 1: The Sides Of The House

Draw 2 lines to make the sides of the house as shown. Draw a triangular shape on the top of each side of the house as the sides of the roof as shown.

Step 2: A Tower

On the right side of the house, draw a triangular shape coming out from the side of the house to make a tower.

Step 3: The Second Tower

On the left side of the house, draw a triangular shape coming out from the side of the house to make a tower on the other side as shown.

Step 4: The Third Tower

Draw a triangular shape, connect it to the 1st and 2nd towers with a line on each side.

Step 5: The Door And Two Windows

For the door, draw an oblong shape closed at the bottom with a straight line. For the two windows, draw a shape similar to that of the door but smaller, one on each side of the door. You can use a ruler to draw the straight lines in these shapes.

Step 6: Three Windows

Draw shapes similar to the shapes of the windows in the previous step. One in each tower.

Step 7: Silhouette Of a Bush And an Autumn Tree

Draw an outline for the bush and the Autumn tree above it on the right side of the house with some sharp lines for the tree and more curved lines for the bush under it as shown.

Step 8: Another Silhouette Of a Bush And an Autumn Tree

Draw an outline for the bush and the Autumn tree above it on the left side of the house with some sharp lines for the tree and more curved lines for the bush under it as shown.

Step 9: The Sunset

Draw a huge circle for the sun behind the house, with the sun’s lower part hidden behind it.

Step 10: The Bat’s Eyes, Ears And Top Of The Head

Draw 2 small circles for the eyes, a small curved line above them for the top of the head and a pointed horn shape for the ear on each side of the head.

Step 11: The Bat’s Top Of The Wings

Draw a wavy line coming out of each side of the head with a pointed shape in the middle of each for the top of the wing.

Step 12: The Bottom Of The Wings

Draw a zigzag line connecting the two wings on the bottom as shown.

Congratulations, now you can draw a haunted house. 

Now, grab the colors of your choice and start painting your drawing, I am sure it will be outstanding.

Tip: If you are using colored pencil and would like to achieve a 3D effect as the one in my drawing, pick a darker shade for the color you pick and go over some parts of the drawing with this darker shade as shown in the final picture, and try to blend the two colors together well on paper by easing the pressure on the pencil tip as you go towards the lighter parts.
