Step 1: The Face
With a pencil, draw an oval shape to give you a guide to draw the face. Around this oval shape draw curved zigzags to make the hair around the spider's face. Then erase the oval guide.
Step 2: Face Features
Draw 2 large circles for the eyes, one hidden behind the other. Draw 2 smaller circles inside each eye to give complexity to the eye and leave a couple of tiny white circles to show light reflection.
Step 3: Four Legs
Draw four legs coming out from the right side of the head, each leg consists of 2 curved lines connected with tiny lines in between. Draw tiny lines coming out from each leg to represent the fine hairs.
Step 4: The Other Four Legs
Draw the other four legs on the other side of the face, exactly like the previous step.
Step 5: Spider's web
Draw a vertical line coming out from the top of the spider's head going up. Then draw a few lines like rays coming out from the corner of the page. You can use a ruler for this step.
Step 6: Finishing The Spider's Web
Draw a few curved lines connecting each couple of rays together to make the shape of the spider's web.
Congratulations, now you can draw a cute spider.
Now, grab the colours of your choice and start painting your drawing, I am sure it will be outstanding.
Tip: To show light reflection on any surface while coloring, leave a small line or sometimes circles without color as shown in the colored picture.
Tip: If you are using colored pencil and would like to achieve a 3D effect as the one in my drawing, pick a darker shade for the color you pick and go over some parts of the drawing with this darker shade as shown in the final picture, and try to blend the two colors together well on paper by easing the pressure on the pencil tip as you go towards the lighter parts.
